The University of North Alabama (UNA) is a state university located in Alabama, USA. Its establishment can be dating to 1930. It is the first state sponsored teacher's University in the Eastern US, and it is one of the earliest integrated universities in the US. In its nearly 200 years history, the university has provided high learning in Education, Business Administration, Science, Nursing and Arts etc. All the courses have been sponsored and financed by the State of Alabama. In 1957, UNA started to offer the postgraduate courses and its Business College is accredited by the ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Program). UNA is one of the outstanding integrated universities in the nation, and it was the first university to receive the College Award in the state of Alabama. For the past two centuries UNA has produced many outstanding alumni: two Alabama governors Edward A. O'Neal and David P. Lewis; Texas governor Sullivan Ross; Supreme Court judge William M. Byrd; US senator Jeremiah Clemens and Pulitzer winner Clay Bennett. UNA has graduated many well-known politician, authors, business management, and other qualified people; and countless known entrepreneurs and professionals. Distinctness of the UNA EMBA Courses
ùþ The program is accredited by the SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools)
ùþ The courses are accredited by the ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools & Program)
ùþ UNA three colleges (Business, Education, and Nursing and Allied Health) are accredited by the ACBSP, National Education Association and National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission respectively.
ùþ This program lasts for 15 months, and students would be able to obtain international recognized Master degree in Business Administration. Afterwards the MBA graduates may continue their studies for Ph.D. degrees.
ùþ All courses are to be instructed by well-known national Universities faculties. The faculty's members are deep in their knowledge. Both the theory and practical aspects will be strengthened in all of the courses.
ùþ Courses will be conducted at weekends; and this arrangement will reduce the opportunity cost for students who are working full-time.
ùþ This program concentrates the study of new knowledge in the business administration areas; and will use innovative assessment approaches such as special topics report and individual research project that it would encourage graduate students to participate course works actively.
